Q: Comparison with raycast . BYOK integration.
First of all, Prima Facie, this app seems excellent and very well made. I have two questions and suggestions.
Firstly, I use the Raycast app on Mac, which also uses AI to improve text, check spelling and grammar, and more, all via hotkeys. I'm looking for what Pismo offers that Raycast doesn't. This will help me decide if it can positively impact my workflows. Could you help me out here?
Secondly, I see that Pismo has its own AI LLM integrated, which is not openly declared. Are there plans to allow users to integrate their own BYOK or like raycast, give us more options to choose from ? I'm asking for 2 reasons: It would provide great flexibility in terms of the outputs we desire and I'm concerned about the sustainability of purchasing a lifetime deal when you face ongoing costs with AI models. Could you please elaborate on this?

Pismo is designed primarily to work with texts in a seamless way - it needs no integration or additional setup - you just highlight any text and invoke Pismo using a keyboard shortcut, or by clicking on the widget. This has proven to be a very convenient way to work with texts, as it keeps your workflow fast and doesn't overcomplicate any app interaction.
Pismo is using GPT-4o mini. BYOK support has been requested by our users, and we are looking into ways this can be implemented, but for now we are sticking with 4o mini, as it adequately fits the purpose of the app. That said, we are always looking into other LLMs that might increase the productivity of Pismo, and are planning to update the LLM regularly, as new developments become available. Our LTD customers will enjoy all the benefits of such upgrades when they roll out!
