Like others, I have used a bunch of very similar design tools, many offered on AppSumo.

Why buy Pixelied?

It's not perfect yet -- but it's on the right track!
* Background removal tool is third party, isn't great, and there's a cost for each background removal besides the first five. The good thing is that this will be brought internally (says the roadmap), and hopefully the cost per removal will go away at that point.
* Downloads are available only as JPG or PNG. Fortunately in the roadmap there's PDF and SVG exports coming soon, and others on the idea list.
* There was one hint / tooltip that I couldn't get to go away for awhile, so there are a few small things to work out.
* Illustrations are organized into categories, but there's no keyword search for illustrations.

Having said that, there are a LOT of good reasons to buy Pixelied now:
* Quick, I haven't noticed any lags when putting graphics together.
* Easy to create just about any kind of graphic.
* Quality image library. I would actually want to use the images I found there. Same with the illustrations and templates.
* The mockups feature is a great reason to buy Pixelied. There are many occasions I would want to show something pictured on a phone, a monitor, hanging on the wall, etc. Hopefully the Pixelied team will add more mockup options (tshirts, flags, building signage). Interesting that this is separate from Templates. Why isn't a mockup just one kind of template?

If you're looking for a tool to create your own graphics from scratch, Pixelied is not the right tool.

However, if you're looking to save a LOT of time, and to create very professional looking graphics customized to your brand in minutes, Pixelied is what you need.

Pixelied is 100% usable today, and worth it.
