Apparently this is pretty similar to Boardmix, so it looks to me that there is a strategy to build the product, then sell it lifetime, then improve it on another name and sell a lifetime while the first one won't receive these functionalities because you already made money on it.

Cause there is no way that at some point the team decided to make different products that benefit from the same architecture and decided it was ok instead of simply improving the first one and making it even better.
