Functional but has some... frustrating quirks.
So, PlanPros is a mixed bag.
My first experience was greeted by a "you have an account but no active paid plans" error. I emailed support and they resolved it within the same day.
The questions the wizard asks are thorough, but, in a weird kind of way, I feel like I'm paying to have access to these questions.
The AI is... honestly, just okay. Nothing that in my opinion, ChatGPT couldn't help you with. I was expecting worse. It retains a lot of your language and style. I looked at some sentences/paragraphs and was like, what did you change?
Things I dislike:
- The introductory video says the first thing new users should do is go to the 'earn money' tab. This frustrated me. After a few seconds of skipping, I was like okay, cool, thanks. It was helpful but the audio wasn't great.
- The wizard asks for which currency you want to use, then the Financial Summary tables, and the downloaded tables are still in the wrong currency. Refreshing the page and regenerating didn't work
- Tier 3 allows you to upload files. No-where did I see any option to do this. I feel the website should let me upload my own cover page background/logos. The responses to the questions are download it in Word and change it. If this was a one and done deal, sure, but the developer says to change the information in the wizard.
I basically went ahead and got Tier 3 mainly for the updated cover images. But honestly, don't bother if this is what is the driving factor deciding between Tier 1 or Tier 2 and then going to Tier 3.
I think Tier 1 is the best deal really. I can see a business using this tool like once and then not really touching it again. My use case is providing business plans to clients using PlanPros (I have permission to do this, as I am including it as a part of a service package I sell)
As the file upload is absent, the additional cover art images are just meh at best, I will be contemplating a downgrade back to Tier 1.
I don't usually write reviews, but I thought after using the tool extensively today, creating my own, and as the page doesn't have any reviews, I was like sure.
I would give this tool 3.8 tacos out of 5 tacos if I could, but I have rounded it up to 4 tacos.

Dec 27, 2024I appreciate your honest and detailed review. With regards to uploading images, you can do that on the Print & Download pages by clicking the image icon above each section and inserting an image from your computer.
With regards to the currency selector, this was a feature requested here on Appsumo...it's nearly fully built and should be live in the next few days (sorry for the delay).
