Clunky, slow, buggy. Get the basics right before adding new features
This product has the potential to be a Canva replacement, which is why we bought it. But after trying to create a simple thumbnail, found it is not usable for us at least. Will give it a few months and try it again. Yes I am not asking for a refund and I'm betting they will fix these issues.
Current issues:
1) Slow as hell overall
2) Working with text (dragging text, highlighting and changing font properties like size) is clunky and buggy. Sometimes the format is only applied to part of the text. Sometimes when you copy and paste a design, the new design doesn't have the text anymore.
3) Critical: saving is not only extremely slow (in Canva it auto-saves) but it timed out once for us. This is for like a hello world type of thumbnail - nothing complex at all
4) Snapping when dragging things is not "delightful", you have to do a bit more manual work, unlike in Canva when that all works like magic
Overall: we will continue to use Canva for a few more months and then test this again. My recommendation to the team is to nail the basics before adding any single new feature.

Plasfy was not positioned or sold as a Canva replacement. Differences in workflow, snapping behaviour, and autosave logic are intentional design decisions, not defects.
Text formatting applies to the selected text range, which is standard behaviour in professional design software. Copy–paste behaviour and saving reliability were functioning as designed, and no reproducible issues matching this description were reported at that time.
Performance has since undergone multiple architectural upgrades, including a full editor and dashboard rebuild. The platform operates stably and as advertised.
Comparisons to enterprise-scale tools with thousands of employees are not a meaningful benchmark for a standalone, independently developed platform.
This review reflects expectation mismatch, not a failure of delivery or functionality.
