Clunky, slow, buggy. Get the basics right before adding new features
This product has the potential to be a Canva replacement, which is why we bought it. But after trying to create a simple thumbnail, found it is not usable for us at least. Will give it a few months and try it again. Yes I am not asking for a refund and I'm betting they will fix these issues.
Current issues:
1) Slow as hell overall
2) Working with text (dragging text, highlighting and changing font properties like size) is clunky and buggy. Sometimes the format is only applied to part of the text. Sometimes when you copy and paste a design, the new design doesn't have the text anymore.
3) Critical: saving is not only extremely slow (in Canva it auto-saves) but it timed out once for us. This is for like a hello world type of thumbnail - nothing complex at all
4) Snapping when dragging things is not "delightful", you have to do a bit more manual work, unlike in Canva when that all works like magic
Overall: we will continue to use Canva for a few more months and then test this again. My recommendation to the team is to nail the basics before adding any single new feature.

This review never reflected what Plasfy was, and it certainly doesn’t reflect what it is today.
Since your review, Plasfy has gone through thousands of performance and stability updates, including the full Plasfy 2.0 release and a completely rebuilt dashboard.
None of the issues you listed (speed, saving, snapping, or text formatting) were reproducible or reported by any other users at the time, and all core “basics” have always been rock-solid.
For clarity, text formatting in Plasfy has always worked as intended. When a user highlights only part of a text box, formatting applies specifically to that selection — exactly how professional design software operates.
