My daily rock
I purchased a single seat for Plutio a few years back, and started out loving it. I hit a few snafus in the invoicing side of things, and began hopping through different solutions again - SuiteDash (antiquated interface, clients were confused on how to use it), Ora (great for tasks but not for managing my entire business), SmartTask (again, okay for tasks but didn't offer enough features), Honeybook and Dubsado (great for other parts of the business but weak on tasks and harder on the wallet for a solopreneur). I joined a Plutio user group on Facebook and saw the way the team was interacting and taking feedback from its users - it was beautiful. I saw the updates start to roll out so I hopped back in again and started moving everything back to Plutio after a year or two away.
I have now maxed out on codes, expanded my team, and brought the whole team onboard to Plutio. It's powerful, yet intuitive. It's flexible yet reliable. It continues to grow and offer new ways to streamline my business. And I think my wandering biz-management-platform-heart is ready for a long-term commitment.
Here's how I use it:
1) One-off projects (i.e. video development projects): send client proposals, get signed contracts and paid invoices. I use templates to create my project and task boards and can quickly get to work.
2) Ongoing projects (i.e. social media management): much the same, however I don't use the invoicing just yet. The team has done a lot of work to implement subscriptions, but I need a bit more flexibility, so I use Wave apps for that. I may eventually bring those payments into Plutio, but I'm oddly happy with using both platforms, despite always seeking an all-in-one.
I love the task functionality, easy-to-use time tracker and timesheets. I love having my intake forms in Plutio, and I look forward to being able to automate some functions around those soon.
If you need more than just task management, this is the tool to get.
