Q: Help files appear to be in Notion but when I go in Notion says I don't have access to PODA.
Just trying to understand how this works and what the heck GIST is.
Perhaps this isn't the right product for me? (I'm looking for a mind map alternative)

May 15, 2024A: Hi Tim,
When you say you can't see Poda in notion are you referring to a board that you have embedded in notion ?
If this is the case there are a couple of ways you can do this.
If you click the "share" button in the top right of the board a modal will pop up and it says
"anyone with this link has no access" click on "no access" and change it to "can view the board" this will make the board public and should then be able to be embedded in notion
Also when embedding board there is an alternate url that you can use to remove the chrome from the board page.

^ Note the 'e' here normal its a 'b' if you change that you will get a more minimal view
Alternatively you could export the board as an Image and load the image into your notion document. To export your project click the "..." in the top right of the screen and click the export button the image settings should be defaulted and then you can just click the download button
GIST is a product management framework developed by a former Product manager at Google. GIST stand for Goals, Ideas, Step and Tasks, it is a well designed for
" lightweight plans that are built for change, lower management overhead, improved team velocity and autonomy, better cross-company alignment and ultimately better products and solutions." https://itamargilad.com/gist-framework/
It is a really interesting concept if you are planning a project while it is grounded are software development it can be easily adapted to work with any different project types. Note that Poda isn't tightly coupled to this it just offers some pre built tags to help with the setup when onboarding. These tags can be changed at any time to match your own preferred project style.
Poda isn't intended to be pure mind mapping software in the traditional sense it has been built on a few more rails and is intended to be a lightweight tree based planning tool that allows customers to quickly iterate on their plans and projects.
We understand that Poda might not be for everyone as every individual has their own unique requirements and expectations, but we do want to build a great product and really value customer feedback. We and are listening and developing new features regularly based on these requirements, if interested you can view and contribute at https://poda.canny.io/
I hope this helps answer your question :D If not I'm happy to chat further you can reach me at support@poda.io
All the best
Cheers
Nick
