Polished software
I bought Poda because I thought the developer had created a beautiful UI and I'm exploring mindmaps solutions. As a project management tool it's powerful, but having bought it I can see that the underlying 'engine' does lend itself to easily to considerably development, as I suspected before I bought it, and I am taking a bet that it does. For the money it's great value and worth backing this developer.
For myself I would like to see it evolve to allow for he inclusion of content as if it were more a 'traditional' mindmap to simply click, add content and put all the projectmanange status/flag 'in the back round' and accessible if needed but not the main focus. This product is clearly designed under the hood to be able to do this and the empahsis could be switched towards content as opposed to aimed so much towards project management - perhaps along the lines of 'usage modes' that determine the content entry/presentation emphasis. Regardless, as it stands now it's a great tool for organising data, beautiful presentation.
I would like to see it allow for the inclusion of embedding videos links and PDF files. I'm not sure the developer had that in mind at the start and no doubt the cost of providing such ability to use it as a datastore/content management system would be higher.
My main point about this product, and its developer, is it's quality, great design and huge potential. To fully realise its potential the product needs backing and I am happy to buy this product for what it is as it stands today, and trust that quality shines and it'll be one of those AppSumo deals you were pleased you bought for such a small investment. Lends itself to being a self hosted, even mobile product.
Very interested in this developer.
