This is essentially a twitter mass content tool

This is basically a copwriting tool that works by you creating a template that is suited to switching out words. Not all sentences work for that kind of set up (in fact, most don't!) but basic sales messages that need to be tweaked to avoid duplicate content do work, or a sentence like "have question about [insert variable]? Let's talk!"

After a little experimenting I was able to write a simple sentence that would create hundreds of variations. Uploaded it to Publer. It works.

O.k. but where would you use this? The only social media channel you could use this many similar messages would be twitter. And even then, I'm not sure this is the approach I want to go for. Maybe by spreading e.g. different campaigns of 100 tweets each out over a whole year? (so people only see a similar tweet every 3 days)

PostMaker can also pull in quotes from e.g. blog articles - and it does so really well. You can just click to add them to your selection. But turning those posts into swappable templates, I tried that, but while it's technically possible, it's linguistically challenging to make that work (starting with a sentence designed to be a template works much better)

I could simply add these blog quotes as-is (without creating variations) and bulk-upload them. So in that way, I could use this tool to make snippet + photo combinations. You can add the urls of images to use and PostMaker will mix and match. However, I already have a tool that does that, and does it better (Missinglettr)

I could use PostMaker to tweet out different snippets + links. The benefit of using this tool is that it cuts out a lot of manual copy pasting steps. I could see this working for creating lots of "read this article" links.

Last year, I tried out a bunch of copywriting software and I have to say, PostMaker has the most intuitive and well-designed set-up that I've found. You could theoretically use it to write sales emails etc as well. Because you can create your own templates.

You could use it as a headline generator.

The only "thing" is with generators like this that you first have to build the template. So you have to decide where building a template is smart, and where doing it by hand is quicker. Building templates yourself is preferable though because standard templates from other industries (my experience) rarely work.

So all in all - while the tool works really well, I'm still trying to figure out what to use it for exactly. I mean, if you're someone who wants to tweet every 10 minutes, get this tool for sure. But personally, I unfollow people who do that.

So far, I se this as essentially a twitter mass content tool bc I don't see a use for this for FB (would you post more or less the same thing over and over on FB?) or instagram (visual platform), and pinterest requires a lot of content but is about creating new visual variations, text is secondary. I could use this tool to create descriptions, upload those, then upload the pin images..

Going to sleep on this!
