Very Disappointing

The entire course is all screenshots. There are no live recordings of the screen or interface or moving through the navigation. So there's no zoom-ins, no cursor movements, no live typing, etc. Just overview screenshots. He even starts to move through his screenshots so fast at times you don't know where you are or what he clicked on to get to that next screen. So you have to stop the video all the time to see what part of the navigation was highlighted when the screenshot was done. This is absolutely not a mastery course. It's an overview course. For ex: when he gets to the part of talking about comparing ads, he doesn't even go into what you should look for that defines a winning ad to him or how he evaluates it or makes that decision. In fact, you can barely even read the numbers between his ads as he rushes through the screenshots. He will say things like "I would do this or I generally do this" but he doesn't explain the logic or reasoning behind why he makes that choice.

I recently watched a course done on Facebook ads, and it was fantastic. That person explained in detail why he considers an ad worth keeping and why he doesn't, and you would never know based on the numbers you see on his screen because his deep understanding and experience helps you understand things that you would never understand without a lot of experience or tips from someone else. The very things a mastery course from an experienced user should have. There's no way I will get what I need to fully understand how to run campaigns through Google with just this course. I will have to invest in another course that actually shows live how they do things so you I know what they are basing a decision on.

As a side note: There are 75 videos, and every one of them has a five-second logo intro and then him doing a face intro and then he repeats what the course is about again when he moves to voice over. So every single video has 30 seconds of unnecessary time that does not help your learning that you have to watch or try to skip through.

Additionally, instead of the listing the points being discussed in bullet points (a standard format for most courses and webinars because that makes it easy to read and follow along with) he crams his sentences into boxes without any structure that are unnatural to try to read.

In short, the course is an overview, not a mastery course. It's hard to follow, he speeds through the info that should be the in-depth part of a master course, or doesn't cover it at all, and I feel just as frustrated as when I started from trying to watch these videos. It's just not structured or presented in a way for in-depth learning and costs you a lot of extra time trying to understand where he's at because it's just screenshots without any live movement. He doesn't even do cursors movements over his screenshots. It's just voice and static screenshots most of the time.

Hey Todd - I appreciate your review and assessment of the course. The criticism is constructive and helpful.

I can see that when binge-watching all 75 videos of a course designed to be watched over weeks/months, you might start to find intro songs and on-screen videos of me annoying.

As for the word mastery and what that entails, I am sorry that you don't feel like you have mastered how to achieve an ROI with Google Ads and become Google certified.

That is my definition of Mastery, and what I promise to do in the course. This doesn't appear to be aligned with what you expected, and I'm sorry about that.

As for whether I've delivered on that promise to others who have taken the course, I can say this - thousands of students have used these techniques to deliver a great ROI on Google Ads for their self-run businesses, their clients, or their organizations.

Many more receive their certification through Google and pass the exam on their first try, which helps them make on average an extra $10,000 in salary each year after receiving certified recognition from Google that they have mastered Google Ads.

Students have gone from enrolling in the course with no experience in Google Ads to managing multi-million dollar budgets effectively. Others use the knowledge to help their family business expand into new markets.

Simply put, this course is responsible for reducing the barrier of entry into the intimidating and often unprofitable world of Google Ads, and turning this experience into positive results for tens of thousands of businesses.

That is my definition of mastery. Teaching students how to take control of their advertising results and holding Google accountable to an acceptable ROI standard.
