The Done for You Approach Helps

PPC Reveal does just one thing, it monitors locations and search queries for which ads appear. It happens to do this one thing so well that it can produce a "Done for You" report featuring insights derived from which ads appear. Insights include which advertisers appeared, an ad schedule graph showing which advertisers appeared at which times and ad samples.

While I give it 3 out of 5 this is not bad, it does what it's supposed to do quite well.

It loses 1 star because I feel the Reveal Units system is too complicated for an average person to understand without whipping out a calculator. Secondly the amounts on offer are not enough for comprehensive account monitoring, you're forced to pick and choose high traffic search terms. I moved from Tier 1 to 3 to ensure I get maximum coverage.

Secondly I'd like the option to mark and exclude clients info from ad reports so that it's just a true competitor analysis. This is more of a nice to have and not really necessary.

Finally there is some overlap with Spaceserp which also pulls ads from search results as well as organic results and shopping and news, however Spaceserp is no where near as "Done for You" as PPC Reveal and "Done for You" saves time. Which is why this is preferable over Spaceserp due to time saved.

Thanks for the feedback!

We do calculate the number of Reveals used prior to going live, but I get what your point - the number of parameters to consider and how that impacts the Reveal count could be tough for folks to grasp.

Interesting request, we haven't heard that one yet. When used for talking to prospects, we've seen a lot of success pointing out where the prospect stand sin relation to their competition. This may be less relevant for active clients, but I'd imagine any client would want to see where they stack up. Interesting perspective and something I'll think more about.

I'll take a look at Spaceserp, they weren't on my radar - I'm sure they have some things we could add into our offering while maintaining that "Done for You" feel.
