If your life involves Timelines, then this could be a time saver

I already have a few PM apps that do timelining but what caught my interest is the no feature bulk, only timelines and roadmaps attitude of Preceden. And yes, it delivers comprehensively on that.
Onboarding is great and you get the sense that it is a mature product. In fact, the welcome message said they have been around since 2010.

I created my first timeline in under 15 minutes with dependency logic, layers and relationships. and it looks fab. There are countless export options available including the usual suspects plus link, embed, csv and presentation mode.

Now, it's really a great product and it solves a problem many have. And I know that I began by saying that you enticed me with minimal features and its ironic my wishlist below is going to ask for some features :)

1) I would like to have an image on the timeline. For example, if there is a design element I need that is relevant to the timeline, is there any way I can view this inside rather than having to switch tabs?

2) Would you consider having a notes section or a mindmap feature that can help iron out the final timeline? For those of us who have everything ready at hand, this is great. For those of us, like teachers, who need to think through a term's worth of stuff, we need a visualisation tool or a dumping ground of ideas.

3) I noticed that collaborators can make changes to my timeline. Is there a revision history or suggestion mode that I as the owner can use to ensure my timeline is not irrevocably changed without my approval?

Overall, very pleased. Thank you for coming on Appsumo and all the very best!

Hey, thank you so much for the kind words and glad you are finding Preceden useful already.

To answer your questions:

1) When you add or edit an event, you can click "More Options" where you'll find additional features including the ability to visually connect events, mark % complete, and search/upload for images. Those images are displayed on the visualization by default, but if you would prefer them only to be displayed in the notes, you can go to Appearance > Events and uncheck the Images option.

2) The timeline, layers, and events all support notes. For high level notes like you're describing, the timeline notes are probably your best choice. To add these notes, click on the name of your timeline while in the editor and then you'll see a place to add them.

3) Preceden does not track revision history currently but other users have requested it as well and it's near the top of our todo list to knock out.

You can find that idea and more on our product roadmap: https://roadmap.preceden.com/b/y0ge5xve/feature-ideas - upvotes and new ideas welcome.

Thanks again and if you ever have any other questions or suggestions, you can ask here or via our support mailbox: help@preceden.com - cheers!
