What are past projects, failures, or successes you’ve had in your career?

Press Ranger is my 4th startup. The first three all sold to large public companies (one to Groupon, one to Booking.com, one to private equity).

Nothing critical

AWS, United States. Encrypted at rest.

What is your current monthly recurring revenue (MRR)?

What’s the origin of the idea for your product?

Throughout building my other three companies, I developed a general disdain for PR tools as they charged me a ton but didn't actually solve my problem. Press Ranger is my passion project to try and make a PR tool that works for everyone.

What problem is your product solving and how?

Legacy PR software tries to get everyone to "pay to play" and even when you hire a PR firm, you're often just getting a glorified cold email agency. Press Ranger aims to give everyone the tools to run their own PR campaigns.

What’s the #1 thing you’re looking to gain from the AppSumo campaign?

Feedback and enthusiasm in the vision we're building.

What are your plans with the customers, cash, and learnings from the AppSumo campaign?

Press Ranger is entirely self funded (and profitable). All revenue from AppSumo goes directly into building better tools. We're unique in that our *entire* roadmap is prioritized by our users. It's cheesy when we say, "we're building Press Ranger for you" but it's entirely true.

Press Ranger works anywhere there is news but gravitates towards US media as that's the bulk of news content on the web.

We've been on AppSumo for almost three months and have been overwhelmed by all of your positive support and feedback. The AppSumo community has been amazing at helping us turn Press Ranger into the best PR tool on the market. We're now riding off into the sunset with our final day on AppSumo being July 29.
