Q: Beginner Question #2
Some services promise to write and publish press releases in top media houses for very low prices, sometimes under $100 or even $10. How is PressRanger different or better than those? I want high-quality press releases, so I feel I should always buy your Pro Package instead of the Basic one because many websites in the Basic package seem low-quality or spammy. Some of them just share press releases from other media sources like XPR Media.
If I want to publish press releases for businesses in countries like India, is PressRanger still reliable? I ask because India PR Distribution offers press release publishing in top Indian media outlets for a cost lower than PressRanger's Basic package.
I’m very new to this and want to make sure I make the best choices for my customers’ businesses and websites. Sorry for the beginner-level questions!

Dec 18, 2024A: Great question. There are a lot of low quality press release distribution services and our goal was not to create another one. Ultimately distribution comes down to publisher quality, link quality, and reach.
Publisher quality- many low quality sites will offer one or two "premium" outlets like Digital Journal, Fox, etc. None of them will offer the full suite of our publishers, which includes Business Insider, Market Watch, Yahoo Finance, AP News, Apple News, Digital Journal, Benzinga, Financial Post, Financial Times, Bloomberg Terminals, Dow Jones Terminals, and hundreds more.
Link quality- many low quality sites will offer a volume of backlinks but they are all nofollow links from very low-traffic platforms. In our Premium releases, almost all of the links are dofollow which is exceptional when compared to every other package out there.
Reach- the low quality distributions will not provide submissions to the newsdesks like Bloomberg, Dow Jones, etc. so they are not "real" press releases. Press Ranger's releases are suitable for the actual goal of a press release which is to announce news to journalists. Public companies *have* to issue releases via regulatory newswires of which Press Ranger is one. The low quality sites are just PBNs by a different name.
