I read an article about how people now rely on AI for answers instead of clicking on articles. This shift could pose challenges for SEO, as backlinks from journalistic articles might become less relevant. How will the press ranger pivot in response to this change?

Dec 19, 2024A: PR is more about brand awareness than it is about SEO, though SEO is a secondary benefit obviously. But, to be true to your question, no pivot is needed. PR has been around since the dawn of time and isn't going anywhere. For every business, there's a story to tell.
I think the next wave of SEO will be about getting your content ingested by the AIs so that it references and recommends your company. Press releases will be a component of that, as will high-quality content, placements, and articles. The medium will change but the methods will stay the same (mostly).
