Q: Is this plugin developed by the company that purchased the WP User Avatar plugin?

I knew the name of the plugin sounded familiar. I recall the story on WP Tavern when it was published (https://wptavern.com/profilepress-rebrands-and-repurposes-wp-user-avatar-now-a-membership-plugin-users-revolt-via-the-wordpress-review-system), and I also had to remove the WP User Avatar plugin from a client site.

If you are the same developer, it doesn't seem like your product has made an effort to support integration solutions beyond your proprietary product, WP Fuse (which, frankly, is very unimpressive for the price, in my opinion).

Frankly, if you are the same developer, you have a bad reputation in the WordPress community. Your LinkedIn also says you are in Nigeria, not Wyoming. Where are you located?

A: We have a couple of integrations. Mailchimp, mailerlite (coming soon), campaign monitor. And we support WooCommerce and many lms plugins.

I am Nigerian but our company is based in the US. Appsumo confirmed that.

Since you're not answering all the questions and you seem to be hiding your identity with your screen name, I will assume you're the developer in question until you say otherwise.

Does your company have a physical presence in Wyoming, or is the Wyoming front a shell registered there merely to promote yourself as a U.S.-based business?

Your assumption-fueled accusations are out of line and frankly, unprofessional.
You need to get your facts straight and adjust your perspective on how foreign-owned LLCs operate. The U.S. government has legalized & encouraged this exact structure to do business in the North American market.
I advise you to educate yourself about foreign-owned LLCs before making baseless accusations.

I made no accusations or assumptions. I stated facts and asked clarifying questions.

The developer has a poor reputation in the WordPress community. This is a documented, historically verifiable fact. Go look it up. Secondly, he is in Nigeria, which means the company headquarters are in Nigeria, regardless of where the company is registered.

I advise you to get a dictionary. Have a good one.

You mean to tell me every foreigner with a US LLC automatically means the company headquarters is always their home country?

You are really dumber than I thought. See how confident you are with your ignorance.

Chris, you could have cleared it all up by simply answering the question back in June, but you conspicuously remained silent.

I will ask you again:

Does your company have a physical presence in Wyoming, or is Wyoming a front for a shell registered there merely to promote yourself as a U.S.-based business?

It's an easy question to answer.

Your claim that the company's headquarters are in Nigeria simply because the developer lives there is a fundamental misunderstanding of international business. A company's headquarters are DETERMINED by its LEGAL REGISTRATION and Operational Base, not the personal residence of one individual. Your "facts" are based on a FLAWED and ILLLOGICAL premise. Hope you'll do a little more study..

Founder

Zachary47, I will not dignify your foolishness with an answer.

@Dwein: Until Chris answers the question, the only thing that can be assumed is that the headquarters are in Nigeria. When the founder, developer, and likely sole employee reside on another continent, thousands of miles away from a P.O. Box in Wyoming, it's unreasonable to assume that the company is being run out of a UPS Store. Your protestations to the contrary are incorrect and embarrassing.

Your definitions are far off the business standard. You can say all you want but use the correct terms. What's Solo Employee, P.O. box issue got to do with your problems? Does appsumo require the founder to be Multiple Employees Business with Physical office set-up in the states? Actually there are handful number of Founders in LTD community with their LLC. Structure set-up the same way.

@Dwein, I am not sure if you have reading comprehension issues or are speaking English as a second language, but you are the person who doesn't understand what the terms mean. The company headquarters ≠ the incorporation location when the company's employees and offices are in Nigeria, and the incorporation address is a P.O. Box in Wyoming. Stop wasting my time. Thanks.

@w3guy By refusing to answer the question, you are making it clear that you are trying to hide something, which is the real location of your business. The entire point of listing the location of your company headquarters is to provide transparency. If you are in Nigeria and telling AppSumo and its customers you are in Wyoming, it would seem to me you are in violation of AppSumo's code of conduct.
