This is a steal
I tested by WP User Front End and ProfilePress, and ProfilePress is the clear winner. WPUFE is a bit more mature and has a couple capabilities that ProfilePress doesn't have yet, but it's dated and clunky to use.
ProfilePress is easy to set up. I got it to use with Meta Box for a directory site I built, where I have a front-end form from Meta Box to submit directory listings, but it doesn't have payment integration. I was trying to map the Profile Press subscriptions to Meta Box and had a little trouble, but the PP team was super responsive and provided me the webhooks I needed to make it happen.
So now, I have users register to my site via PP, select a package, and pay for it, and it automatically maps to the Meta Box form after a successful payment.
You can also create a member directory, allow for custom avatars, and so much more. The only thing I don't like is that you can't use shortcodes to add your subscription plans into your page design (I use Bricks Builder). Instead, it creates a URL. I brought this up to the team and they might implement it soon.
All in all, super happy with my purchase, especially at a price you can't beat for what it includes.
