We wanted to test before giving our thoughts
We have used Buffer for years. We paid a monthly sub. Can Buffer be replaced with PR... yes, it's a bit better, and have a lifetime deal with two codes will pay for itself very quickly. If you are a small business that needs help with social media this is a great tool. If you are an experienced agency or very familiar with social media and the idiosyncracies... then it'll save you time, but the content they suggest will need to be modified and dealing with the layers of their premade designs can be frustrating. I did run multiple tests on posting times to compare with analytics we already had in place, and it seemed to be very close to what other services suggested. Instagram... of Instagram... posting to this in Buffer is a pain, and in PR they try to guide you through the app, but it's trail and error. The nice thing is that if you downloaded their app, you will get a push notification to post to Instagram, a good thought for the posting work around.
So why only give four tacos... Here is why for me.
• The editor of premade posts was not as intuitive as I was hoping for. The layers part when replacing an image with an appropriate one after the content was edited.
• When developing different workspaces... I couldn't choose a specific brand color scheme for each, and I didn't see a place to include a logo.
• The choices for categories suggested post ideas was decent, but seemed very generic. This is my issue I realize, but when people mix branding and marketing together and they don't separate them... it bugs me. Branding is very different than marketing. Again, my issue, and most people think the same.
The support was great, and the product is worth two codes easily. This tool has the potential to be a game-changer with time, and I believe would be worth risking the investment. We have officially stopped using Buffer as of today.
I hope that this was helpful, and thank you for taking the time to read this.
