Q: Hi, 1.
How will I conduct live events on my website, when you mention secure feed, does it mean irrespective of length of event, I will be charge $ 0.99 per user.
2. What is RTMP and why do I need OBS, can I use OBS to stream my events from my desktop?
3. What is unsecured feed, can I sell tickets on my site, who are your competitors and how have you arrived at this deal price?
4. What do you mean by Spotify insights, is this applicable for scenario when I offer event on spotify. What is the use of branded mobile app in this context, if I am running event on YouTube then viewers can watch it through mobile, is this the point?
5. What is ambassador program and how will it work on my wordpress site, will you charge 10% on ambassador tickets sale, if I am searching ambassador, why are you taking intermediary fee.?
6. What is data fee per stream, and separate ambassador fee?
Thanks

May 15, 2024A: Hi Sumo-ling,
1) Here is our complete pricing information for secured live stream events:
- 720p (up to 2 hour streams): $0.99 / Ticket Sold ($0.59 / Ticket Sold for AppSumo customers with 2 codes). Additional hours: + $0.50 / Hour
- 1080p (up to 2 hour streams): $1.39 / Ticket Sold ($0.99 / Ticket Sold for AppSumo customers with 2 codes). Additional hours: + $0.70 / Hour
2) RTMP is a system that allows two-way communication between the live stream software you're using, and the platform where your live stream is being hosted on (PromoTix in this case). You do not have to use software like OBS in order to live stream on PromoTix, however many users choose to, and RTMP is how the two systems communicate with each other. If you would like to incorporate additional speakers, you would likely need to use a third party application (such as OBS, restream.io, or Zoom) in order to unlock these capabilities.
3) If you create an unsecured live streaming event on PromoTix, then you are choosing not to host your live stream on PromoTix (you may decide you would like to host it on Zoom, for example). For these types of events, we simply send out an email to your ticket buyers with a join link for the live stream. We cannot secure the stream if it's not hosted on our site, so you run the risk of the join link being shared, and more attendees joining your live stream than you sold tickets for. Unsecured streaming fees are waived for all AppSumo customers.
4) Our Spotify Artist Insights tool allows you to see who your ticket buyers are following and listening to on Spotify, and use that data to make better booking decisions for your future music-related events. Our Spotify Artist Insights tool is not related to our custom branded mobile apps tool.
5) Our ambassador management platform allows you to recruit, manage, and track all of your ambassadors' promotional activities automatically through the platform. On your wordpress site, you can recruit for your ambassador program via a form. We do not charge a 10% fee simply for helping you recruit ambassadors, this fee covers the costs of developing and supporting the platform. You can however find ambassadors in our network and recruit them.
6) (Live streaming fees detailed above). Ambassador ticket sales incur a 10% fee / order.
7) Please note that currently our sponsor management platform is still in development. Regarding this sentence here: "so can I just print the name of the sponsor digitally through your platform or am I dependent on other third party tools to do it," it is possible to include a sponsor logo on your digital tickets.
Thank you for your questions!
