Jun 22, 2026A: Good question. Credits are consumed by the AI actions, and the cost is simple:
- Generate a prompt: 1 credit
- Optimize a prompt: 1 credit
- Refine (a follow-up tweak): 0.1 credit
Organizing your Library (saving, pinning, tagging, searching, and reusing prompts) is free and never burns credits. So once you've built a prompt you like, keeping and reusing it costs nothing.
Your AppSumo tier sets how many credits you get each month. Happy to help you pick the right tier if you tell me roughly how often you expect to generate or optimize prompts.

Thanks for getting back to me. In Claude, I probably send at most 50 initial prompts a week, so 200 a month. Not sure how much refining I'd do in Prompt Builder, and how that would translate into credit use...
