Greetings, Sumo-lings!

My name is Jeremy Sadkin and I'm about all things PromptSmart, a teleprompter app that scrolls as you speak using speech recognition . I co-founded the company where it all began in 2014 with my brother and other friends and family. To this day we remain an independent, privately owned business dedicated to making sophisticated teleprompting technology more accessible to Sumo-lings just like you!

Teleprompters were once prohibitively expensive and relied on clunky hardware or outdated scrolling methods. PromptSmart’s changed the game by inventing a new, automatic method of scrolling the text of the teleprompter by using speech recognition. PromptSmart’s VoiceTrack system listens as you speak and will wait if you pause or improvise. And by wrapping this new method into a mobile app , anyone with a smart phone or tablet could benefit from this innovation in teleprompting. As it turned out, this was a winning combination. When PromptSmart launched in 2014 the market was receptive to our product and we have been using boot-strapped revenue to make continual improvements ever since. Livin’ the dream!

But seriously though, owning and managing my own business has been a lifelong dream. As a first generation American, my mother and her parents lost everything they owned fleeing their home country of Cuba in the 1960s. When they re-settled in the U.S., they instilled in me a strong belief that things were different here and made countless sacrifices for me to have an opportunity for a better life. I feel deeply honored that I am in the position that I am in and that PromptSmart has been as successful as it has been. What began as a conversation around the family dinner table over the holidays has grown into something larger than myself -- it is now a global brand and we're far from done!

We offer PromptSmart+ mobile apps for iOS and Android that scroll as you speak in languages (English, Spanish, French, German, and Russian). And we also offer a Studio Edition app for Windows and Mac. All of these apps are wrapped up into one, comprehensive package made even better by cloud and web tools to tie everything together on my.promptsmart.com. With the continuing prevalence of remote work and virtual collaboration, we intend to expand our web imprint to make it easier to work and share with others.
