I need a prompter for both a supported and unsupported language. Here is my experience (Mac and iOS).
For me I have to use a variety of their apps, one of which is not included in this bundle, for my workflow.
There's the Mac and PC version, the web version, PromptSmart Plus iOS, PromptSmart Pro iOS (extra $20 on the App Store) and an iOS remote which normally requires a subscription but is included with this bundle (thank god!).
The Mac app works really well. It's the only practical way I've found to run the teleprompter software on my computer.
It's also good for editing. In my light use, it seems to do most of what I need, without using the web version.
The web version is nice too though! But it seems to be more for editing and controlling, than for "teleprompting" and I'm a one-man-band.
I use Japanese. Text editing in Japanese on web and software all works. Of course the "voice track" function does not work, but I've noticed that if I strategically place English sentences and phrases between the Japanese sentences, the prompter will move forward fairly accurately. It takes quite a bit of tweaking though.
Unfortunately because my language of choice isn't supported by voice track, my favorite feature is the iOS remote app, and that doesn't work with the Mac software or their most updated and best teleprompter app for iOS, PromptSmart Plus. I can only use the iOS remote controller with PromptSmart Pro, which is a $20 iOS app, not included in this deal.
I had already purchased that app, so it wasn't a total waste, I guess. However, I wish it worked with the newer app, PromptSmart Plus.
Now that I tuned in their software for my needs, I'm 80% satisfied. I'd be 100% satisfied if the iOS controller worked with the Mac and PromptSmart Plus software, and I would be 120% if VoiceTrack worked with Japanese (not holding my breath but fingers crossed),
Teleprompters make my video recording so much faster and easier, so I recommend most video creators to use them, and this software is solid if you use a supported language and this AppSumo deal makes it worth for people who would only use it a few times a year for the rest of their lives.
