Q: Deal questions... Again
Hi Jordi,
nothing bad, but i would like some REAL clarity about the platform. I've checked it and it seems a modified version of the altum code app :
https://66socialproof.com/
Back in the days, there was also this one on appsumo :
https://appsumo.com/products/popify/
that's now free to install :
https://popify.site/
And it's based again on the same code.
I don't have anything bad about you hosting and selling it, but transparency is important.
So you're not based on such? are you 100% able to confirm that?

May 2, 2025A: Hi there, thanks again for raising these questions, I completely understand that transparency and trust are key when evaluating any SaaS product, especially here on AppSumo where long-term value and reliability are essential for buyers.
Let me address the concerns directly. Proofly has been in active development for over two years, and while some visual similarities to other platforms may exist, the platform has evolved through continuous improvements, real-world usage, and close communication with users. What you see today is the result of many months of iteration, optimization, and feature development, driven entirely by practical needs, performance goals, and feedback from a growing user base.
Since the initial version, we’ve added dozens of custom features and infrastructure upgrades that go far beyond any base framework. For example,
a globally distributed CDN infrastructure ensures that static assets such as notification scripts and styles load extremely fast, no matter where your visitors are located.
Our Pixel Proxy technology allows users to serve tracking pixels from their own custom subdomain with free SSL, which greatly improves reliability and prevents ad blockers or content filters from interfering with notifications.
New notification types are added regularly, and all are included in the LTD offer, with no feature gating or hidden upsells.
We offer real-time live chat support directly on the site.
The platform consistently maintains 99.9%+ uptime, supported by auto-scaling server infrastructure to handle increasing demand without affecting performance.
Visually comparing tools may give the impression of similarity, but in practice, product maturity, support quality, infrastructure stability, and long-term commitment are what truly make the difference. Proofly is not a copy-paste project, it’s a stable, scalable, and continuously improving product, built with care and serious intent.
My focus has always been on creating something that adds real value for businesses, fast to set up, easy to customize, and backed by solid performance. We’re here for the long run, and Proofly’s roadmap is full of further improvements that will continue to enhance both functionality and flexibility for all users.
If you have any remaining questions about the platform’s direction, technology, or practical applications, I’m more than happy to discuss further. Let’s keep the conversation open and constructive, I’m here to provide clarity and build trust.

Thanks, @Digitalfastmind. I would like to know as well.

On March 10, Jordi responded to another comment on here and said “We have developed Proofly entirely in-house”. To me, the word ‘entirely’ means that it is more than hosted open source software.

Check the codebase and then see what you think
After weeks, no feedback from the founder? Seems there might be more truth to the question than initially thought.
