Q: Hello
Is there a way to connect to LinkedIn via OAuth? I don’t want to share my credentials directly, and I’d rather not install the Chrome extension for security reasons. Is there another option?

Mar 25, 2025A: there is not. We need access to the LinkedIn account to take actions directly from the account. Both options are entirely secure and OAuth would be the same

OAuth beats sharing my login—full access vs. a scoped, revocable token. Passwords risk everything if you’re hacked; OAuth’s encrypted, server-side, safer. “Need direct access” is nonsense—it’s just easier for you. Not secure enough—I’m sending my codes back.
