Can you give me 1 reason why I should move my channel from Youtube over to this platform? Better ad revenue? More viewership? Better UI?

Please convince me why I should shell out $15 to help grow your platform when Youtube pays me to create content.

I just don't get it but I want to get it. Please enlighten me.

A: Hello,

Thank you for reaching out!

There are several issues that YouTube has as a platform that we try to fix;

* Transparency: YouTube and some other platforms are notorious for a lack of transparency and openness when making major platform changing decisions (most recently, removal of the dislike counter across their platform). We remain in constant contact with our users and content creators to avoid issues like this. When making decisions, we inform our community about the direction that our platform is going in (we have recently released a product timeline). If we make a mistake, we will backtrack based on how our community feels (most recently, our LTA price change decision backtrack).

* Monetization: Our platform allows for creators to monetize their content directly at affordable rates. We offer content paywalling at rates cheaper than other major platforms, but with more features (ours is 5% with all features included, YouTube’s Join program is 30%, and Patreon’s mid-tier is 8% with limited features).

* Intellectual and Creative Freedom: We only remove/restrict illegal content. Furthermore, we do not have a rampant copystriking problem like YouTube.

* Customization: We offer a complete customizable theme system. Paying users can access a library of premium themes, or create their own theme using any colors they desire.

* All-in-one platform: Unlike Patreon and other platforms (who seek to be YouTube add-on platforms), we seek to combine features of YouTube with the ability to paywall and monetize content.

* Direct contact & Accountability: We are real people, and can be contacted directly through AppSumo, email, or our Service Desk for information about our platform, questions, bugs, feature requests, etc.
