PubCoder - Plus exclusive

Product details

Q: Hello!

1. Will readers need the PubReader Native App to view the ebook? Will it also work on other platforms aside from PubReader? How about on Windows or Mac computers?

2. Can we password-protect the files? Or can we set the files to work on one account only? To prevent sharing?

3. For embedding on websites, do you also provide the hosting? If not, will it work on Google Drive or MS One Drive?

Thanks! :)

A: 1. PubReader is useful to test you project while editing. You can send directly from PubCoder a project file to your mobile device and see how it looks like on a real device while working on it. The exported EPUB file format is viewable on any EPUB Reader that supports EPUB fixed layout with interaction, so Books App for iOS and Mac devices, Adobe Digital Editions for Windows Desktop devices, and many others.

2. Not sure you are talking about the project file of PubCoder, or the exported file format (EPUBs, Apps, etc). In the former case, the answer is no. In the latter, it depends on the kind of file format and where you decide to publish it. For instance, most EPUB ebookstores have their own DRM that you can decide to apply to your content, so that the end user/customer cannot share that file.

3. No hosting provided (although it's in our roadmap). You need to stay behind a webserver in order to make it work. See PubCoder docs: https://docs.pubcoder.com/pubcoder_html5.html
