Q: Do you offer an API (Whitelabel) in the event a publisher wishes to use your service in the back end while ...

our customers gain access to it directly on our website?

A: Hi there,

The customers can purchase the books on our store partners sites. You can add these store links to your website.

I hope this helps. If not, please tell us more about your question, and we will try our best to answer!

Hi,

Using an API is currently not available in our service.

Hi,

The following is copied directly off your website. Would you say this is misleading, a lie, bait and switch, an oversight, a misprint perhaps?
API integration
-----------
PublishDrive’s API system can improve your connectivity and provides a seamless way to automate your business processes.

Hello again,

Let me clarify my previous reply.
We have API, but that is for publishers to upload/edit books and access sales data programmatically. We do not have API to serve white label/custom hosted webshops. We distribute only to standalone, dedicated, professional stores.

Hello dr.5,

This Robert, CTO of PublishDrive.
Let me confirm the previous answers, and make things more clear.

1) Many times we have the question if we can serve whitelabel stores with our content (via API). This is typical when someone has an author webpage and want to sell it owns or other familiar on its website, but don't want to bother with tech background .
For this this question is the answer is no, we do not have API fur such purpose and do not send our customers content to any store they do not authorize us.
I think Alexandra for the first sight misunderstood you question and have given answer for this, however it wasn't your question.

2) As I understand you would like to "re-sell" our publishing service via your platform and you want to perform all the action initiated by your users via API calls sent to us. This is basically possible, as the basic publishing flow can be done via API calls like upload and publish books and query sales data.

Two important things need to be mentioned:
- there are some features on the platform that can be used on UI but not available on API (e.g. promotions)
- the API usage is not included to this appsumo deal
If you are interested in this feature pls contact our sales department

Hi Robert,
So far seems like a super deal :-)

- One question thou, and why I ask it here in a sub-thread to your answer:
If I have a book that I besides selling via your distribution & bookstores also want to sell on my own website - like "free + shipping" (like Russell Brunsons dotcomsecrets.com) offers.

Can I add one (of your, and if so whom) publisher to do all the handling ie. I get an ex.iframe from them and put it on my website, but any order goes to their system, and they ship the print book (or digital edition) etc..?

- Or/ and - can I just myself in parallel to distributing my book via your network, do such a set up (if I my self find find someone who will do this for me)?

Kind regards
Henrik

Hi Henrik,

Thank you for the question! :)

Unfortunately, it is not possible with any of our store partners that they only handle the printing and shipping part, the ordering and buying itself also has to take place on their store interfaces. You can of course include these store links on your website and direct your audience to Amazon or Ingram for example, but they also have to purchase the book there, we cannot separate any part of the process.

However, it is perfectly possible to also sell the books independently through your own website or any other channel you'd like to manage. None of these stores require an exclusive distribution deal, so you are free to do so!

I hope this answers your question!
