ROMANCE AUTHORS BEWARE
I tried this service out and they put my romance title in erotica. I made a change back to romance and they put it back in erotica. Keep in mind, this book is listed in romance at Draft2Digital, Amazon, and the major retailers. Not only that, but two of the places that I got rejected for because of PublishDrive putting it in erotica have contacted me directly in the past to add my books to their reading apps. So now I've got to stick with Draft2Digital and publish directly with those apps which is just more work. I'll be removing my title and asking for a refund through AppSumo.

May 9, 2024Hello there,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear about the inconvenience this has caused, but we're happy to clarify what happened exactly.
We use some adult content markers on our platform, for example the 'other erotic content' tag that our reviewers added to your books. This does not mean that your books will be categorized as erotica in any of the stores. Your selected categories (in your case, they are all Romance categories) will be sent to our store partners and the books will be displayed as such. The erotic content tag we use is only for the purpose to avoid sending them to stores that have a strict zero tolerance policy on all kinds of adult content, for example certain library distributors, school library suppliers and children's book distributors.
Since your book contained some scenes that are not suitable for the under 18 audience, we added the tag, but we can guarantee that your books will still appear under romance in stores. iReader does accept books that we mark with 'other erotic content' and we separately submit books to Dreame that fall into this category, so this should not be an obstacle in reaching these two stores.
We take your feedback very seriously and are already working on adding 'erotic romance' as a separate marker that some authors might feel represents their books better and is generally accepted by a wide variety of stores. However, we would like to emphasize once again that this does not affect the categorization of your books in stores.
I hope we were able to clarify this case, but we are more than happy to assist further. If you have any concerns about our review team's work, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Support Team who can help you resolve it.
