The potential is there... But the support? Not at all
Recently, I started publishing books and am preparing to publish my second full-length book. I was thrilled to find PublishDrive. I would pay once and get more control over my books and much more tools.
When I entered the software, my first impression was that the UX is not optimal, and the solution appears like one of Frankenstein's creations with parts that don't seem to be created by the same team put together. But I can see beyond that, as this is a new and exciting tool.
After checking around and getting the feeling of the software, I wanted to re-upload one of my previous books, but to my disappointment, the tool does not support standard formats like A4. I immediately contacted the support team and still have no solution to my problem two days later. I honestly expect some sort of resolution or at least an update, so I know what's going on!
And immediately after that, I met another setback with this tool. It does not support hardcover books, and that's a killer for me. My upcoming book is already marketed as a hardcover, and they even use printing services such as IngramSpark that support hardcover. I have also attempted to ask for a solution to this problem, but I am faced with nothing but silence...
I will give it some more time, but at that point it slows down my entire release plan.

May 9, 2024Hello Alexander,
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed feedback about our services! We are always open to learn from our users how we can better our platform, so we greatly appreciate your comments.
We noted your observations about our platform's appearance and it is true that different parts of it were developed at different times. As we added new tools and features, we needed new interfaces and this might have caused some differences in appearance between certain parts of the platform. However, we are constantly working on improving the interface and making everything more clean and user-friendly. We have recently introduced a new dashboard and currently a new book upload page and finance page are in the works.
Our support agents have forwarded your concerns about the lack of A4 trim size to our technical team immediately and I am happy to share with you that A4 has been added to the trim size options today. We hope this will be helpful when you upload your book.
We are sorry to hear about your disappointment over the lack of the hardcover distribution! We introduced Ingram to our network in September, so it will still take a little while to implement all the features Ingram has to our distribution. Hardcover is very high on our priority list as you can see on the public development roadmap we shared here on AppSumo! We hope to introduce it later this year.
I hope I was able to answer your concerns, but I'm happy to help you further. Please let me or my team on Support know if we can assist!
