Q: Sound great. But....

Your app is good and its can great . You need to be Generous🤲 . why Should I use it if it's only given me affiliate program ? not the Partners!!! Why don't you make it a full service application? you earn Percentage from every affiliate selling + subscription. It seems to me that you have the full service that the users needs but you Decide to cut it in half. Only for. appsumo so you can get users that will need your other helf of the app service. Nice thinking but this is not how you grow. (In my Opinion.) In today markets you need to give value for users not to play with them And give them Nothing . (Specially if you start your saas ) i saw your video. You are pointing your sale for none professional Clients.the will not know what to do with it .🙉 It's need to be a win win situation on appsumo. That my opinion.

A: Hey,

Thanks for your opinion. Firstly, I find it very offensive that you belittle my work and call it as "not giving value" when I have poured thousands of hours after quitting my job into building this. I'm a solo dev with no investment backing me. This is my only source of income and what I'm hoping to use to hopefully replace my old income and feed my family. At the moment, I don't even make anywhere near enough to do that from AppSumo. Many people have bought the deal and have literally praised it because there is no better tracking software at this price point that doesn't charge you monthly. And in fact i have many people who choose to pay monthly just because they derive that much value from it and want to support me.

Now, in regards to the marketplace plan and not offering it on AppSumo. We currently have 500 affiliates who are registered to the platform and it's growing. Do you know how much it costs to acquire those affiliates through advertising? A Lot. I don't have a big network that i can get affiliates from for free. I pay a lot in advertising and I've invested a lot in resources towards SEO to acquire more and more affiliates. To the point that I'm in a slight loss or barely breaking even with the amount being made here on AppSumo.

Even still, I've discussed with the community that at some point when we grow the marketplace, we will give 2 months free to every appsumo plan user but I'm trying to stabilize the platform first and provide more valuable and a lot of other features.

We live in a very free world and I'm super glad you didn't purchase the plan. Please go use another alternative.

Have a great day.

You have a great product, but the way you communicate with clients or subscribers could hold you back. That tone of response felt unnecessary. Sometimes, it's better to maintain a civil and polite tone when addressing concerns.

While the underlying point still stands and that's what i believe, you're right i should've been more polite about it and taken the high road, it was in the heat of the moment.

"I want to apologize if my feedback came across as offensive; that wasn’t my intention. I admire the hard work and dedication you’ve put into this project as a solo developer—it’s inspiring.

However, I was surprised by your response, especially saying you’re glad I didn’t purchase the product. I was genuinely waiting for your reply to better understand your vision and whether you’d consider it

Yikes, after reading the developers response to a prospective customer, I will take my business elsewhere. Professionalism is key. Remove the emotion out of your dealings in business v

I respect your opinion, good luck with your business and in finding an alternative

I was going to opt for the purchase and give it a try. I read the developer's comments and my desire has gone away. Friend, it's my opinion but I think it's not the way. Greetings and good luck

Which comments exactly? Good luck on your business, hope you find a better and cheaper option 😊

After saying you should have been more polite your passive aggressive stance (Good luck on your business, hope you find a better and cheaper option) is off putting.
The customer is not always right but don’t kill sales by telling the world!
Be a professional and quit with the BS and stop telling everyone you’re a one man band. What happens to support when you’re ill, holidays or just fed up?

So far, there has not been a day that I've not been actively helping people fix the issues they're facing on discord, even when i have been very sick. I do not make anywhere near enough here to be able to hire support. I don't know what else to say, If someone isn't interested in my software, I'd rather them not buy, than to purchase and then refund because they only wanted to "see", so if i tell

Me wising a "potential customer" good luck and hope they find a better and more cost effective option is off-putting? This is the last time i'm responding on this thread as I'm done with all the negativity. I didn't put my hard work here for startup advice, appreciated, not needed. If you want to have a conversation, I'm in the discord building and helping out the customers. Have a wonderful day.
