Great service
I have used Shortpixel for a few years and have always been a fan. I recently did a site rebuild for a client who was using another service and I was unimpressed with the results. I asked if he would be willing to try Shortpixel and he was, so we bought a big lot of credits to process 8GB of images (thousands) that, in theory, had already been processed by the other service. We sometimes saw an *additional* 60% savings over and above what the other service did and there did not seem to be any lose of visual quality.
Also, you can use your credits for classic Shortpixel (processes images and leaves them on your server) or Shortpixel Adaptive Images (processes images and serves them from a CDN and attempts to send the exact size needed for the current device) or both at once across multiple sites. How you use the credits is very flexible. And with classic Shortpixel, you only use a credit when an image is converted. So if you upload an image and it gets saved at four sizes, that's only five credits even if 20,000 view the page that image is on. I'm not 100% sure how this works on Shortpixel Adaptive Image. I think if the image is in the cache on the CDN, it's the same. You only "pay" when the image is processed for compression, not when it is served.
If you have a situation where for you can't serve responsive images (i.e. with srcset or whatever to give the right size for the device), Shortpixel AI is by far the easiest way to do that. The difference in before and after scores on Pagespeed or Lighthouse are tremendous. I've used it on client sites with great results.
Even though I only use 1500 credits per month, I almost stacked multiples of this deal so I would never need to think about buying one-time credits again if I run short. If this comes around again, I recommend jumping on it.
