I've been using Short Pixel for years, but with one time credits. I found them good value at the time. This deal is a no brainer and I am so pleased to find it. I don't use the CDN so can't comment on that, I just use this to optimise images, which it does off-site so no hammering your server for long periods like a few other optimisation options.

The WordPress plugin is excellent, it has lots of controls for optimisation level, file types, auto conversion to WebP, lazy loading etc, but if you prefer not to get hands on (or have clients continually uploading humungous images) you can set it up to your optimisation/image size requirements and it will just do its thing to every image uploaded.

Each image credit gets you one optimisation, but when choosing your plan, bear in mind WordPress and WordPress themes generate different sized thumbnails and responsive versions of your images. So if you upload one single image to your site, you'll need anything from 4-15 credits to optimise all the versions of your image. Fortunately, ShortPixel lets you pre-select which of these versions you want to optimise which saves your from wasting credits on those obscure theme specific module images your find on your server with names like "Portfolio-Thumbnail-Mobile-Jumbo-Mega-Landscape-XXXL".

You get full optimisation reports for the last 30 days, so you can see if anyone is leaching or abusing your credits. If anyone is leaching, you can reset API keys.

The only time I ever needed to contact support my issue was resolved quickly. The issue was I needed to whitelist the ShortPixel server IP addresses in Cloudflare, but that was years ago and they've made the integration completely simple now which is testament to how the team seems to be constantly tweaking and improving their product.
