Amazeballs link shortener!!! Added it to my toolkit. My only wish is to be able to set up the redirection for the ROOT DOMAIN mapping (where the root without the slug leads to), and also any 404 pages error. like "rootdomain.com/erroneous-slug" will redirect to blog.rootdomain.com, and the toplevel link "rootdomain.com" will redirect to https://app.rootdomain.com. Please also enable multiselect feature so we can select all of them at once and apply tags in bulk.

Custom 404 pages are something we're considering for a future release.
If you'd like to redirect the top-level link "rootdomain.com" you can already do so in pxl.to.
When creating your short link, select your custom domain from the dropdown and leave 'route' field blank.
