Q: Hi, This looks like a great tool.

But I have a quick question. It appears even prospective customers should be using Google platform. Is that so? Will this tool not work if customers/prospective customers user their private or other non-google email address? Can you please elaborate on that? Is there a good product demo video to look at? Thanks.

A: Hi there, and thank you.

No. Of course this is not the case.

As a user of Substrata Q you obviously don't care (or know) what email platform your prospect is using. And so, it doesn't matter.

The only limitation is on the user's end, not the prospect's end.

Q users need to be using either Gmail or Google Workspace (Gsuite) for the platform to work properly.

We will release a version for Outlook in the near future.

Thanks for the reply. I had asked another question too if there was a good video demo of the tool to see the features and how it works. Thanks.

Thanks, although the videos are small, gives some idea. Is there any specific reason that only Google platform could be supported? Don't understand that logic why only Google (or Outlook in future) and why we can't use our company email? Can you please help us understand that?

So, we support Gmail & Google Workspace as email platforms. Over a billion people are using Gmail and millions of organizations (companies of all sizes) are using Google Workspace (Gsuite) as a platform for their organizational email.

Outlook is also popular. Together, they cover most of the market. This is why.
If you're talking about email domains, then yes, we cover every any domain that is registered with Google workspace for the operation of it email exchange.

What platform are you using?

Good to know about your thoughts on Google Workspace and gmail. In my knowledge, most or majority of businesses do not use free gmail services for business work or communication. However, many or most education or non-profit institutions do use those platforms since there are numerous discounts or cost benefits offered by the Big Techs. Personally, in my more than couple of decades in the industry, I have used only private domains and plaforms, and we supported small to Fortune 10 to Fortune 500 customers across the globe. Are you saying your tool also has the capability to do behavioral and sentiment analysis on prospects from companies using paid products and services of Google Workspace or Microsoft Azure AD?

When you say Outlook, are you referring to the outlook client for Windows or to the office 365 ?

Hi Zack, re your question, I'm referring to both.

Hey friend. So. I think you're mixing the concept of an email domain and email platform. Many millions of organizations use Google Workspace (previously known as Gsuite). It means that their register their email domains with Google's service for business email. It's not Gmail (and not free) but it is based on the same infrastructure, pretty much. Then, many millions of businesses use outlook. All the rest make up a very tiny marketshare in comparison.

As far as the analysis goes with regards to the PROSPECTS (i.e. not the users of Q, but the users' prospects), it doesn't matter what email they are using, what size of company they work for or what products they use.

Hope that is clear now. Feel free to shoot me an email to ori@substrata.me if you have additional questions.

I don't think he was mixing concepts. He's saying he uses his own privately managed mailservers which is often the case for literally millions of websites that use most hosting services through cPanel etc.

Good to know substrata doesn't support these as I need something that does.

Thanks

Thanks, Maven Labs. The notion that the concepts were mixed was based on the contents of the entire thread. Re your comment, I hear you man. We're opening this up to more and more platforms one step at a time, we might get there next year.
