I bought Qolaba as a lifetime deal because, on paper, it offered exactly what I needed: AI video generation without constant subscription pressure. In reality, it turned out very differently.
Service frequently breaks: Video jobs start, then crash midway or just get stuck.
Videos fail, but credits are still deducted: This is the main issue for me. I lose credits even when no usable video is produced in the end.
Technical stability is poor: Instead of clear, actionable error messages, I often just get something like “Oops, that didn’t work – please try again.” That costs time, nerves, and credits.
What really bothers me is how they handle promises made to lifetime deal customers:
I have an email from Qolaba clearly stating that LTD users can create 24 videos. That was a key reason for my purchase. Right now, the reality does not reflect that promise at all – neither in terms of limits nor in terms of actual usability (crashes, failed runs, unreliable processing). From my point of view, it feels like marketing makes promises that the real product simply doesn’t live up to.
Yes, it’s a young, evolving platform, and I understand that prices, models, and limits can change. But then I expect transparency, reliable communication, and above all that credits are not burned on failed attempts I have no control over.
Conclusion:
For me, Qolaba is currently very far from where it needs to be. If my refund window hadn’t expired, I would have asked for my money back. In its current state, I cannot recommend the lifetime deal – too much frustration, too little reliability, and promises (like the 24 videos for LTD users) are, in my experience, not being fulfilled.

As mentioned earlier, our Fair Usage Policy for video generations is now going live on November 15. This is to keep things fair, prevent abuse, and ensure smooth access for all LTD users.
Here’s how it works:
🎥 Each LTD account can generate up to 12 videos per month (total across all models).
🔗 If you’ve merged multiple LTD accounts, your limit increases accordingly (for example, 2 accounts = 24 videos).
💳 If you’ve purchased top-up credits, there’s no video limit. Your monthly LTD credits will be used first, and then your top-ups.
This policy applies only to video generations. All other features(chatbot, image generation & editing, text-to-speech, and text-to-music) remain unaffected.

Great Service and No Monthly Limits
Hey guys, I'm Dr. Eric Fishon. I'm a Sumo-ling and I do a lot of these. Not these recordings, but a lot of purchases. I've never done a recording before for a review, but this one I feel is worth it. I've worked with these guys with lots of questions over the last year, ever since they've gone on AppSumo. The customer service is great, that's the first thing, and in a world where there's restrictions and where VO3 and all these other things have come out, we've seen lots of companies not only go under, but put a lot of restrictions out. And here's the one good thing, they've stuck with the AppSumo, you know, lifetime people and not put restrictions on us. We have our own channel with them when it comes to questions and answers, um, that's pretty cool. A lot of other companies don't do that. You ask for one-on-ones with them, I've had one-on-ones with the creators, um, for my charity which is, you know, been Exterminator Kids and it's really helped my charity. Um, I'm not been somebody who knows everything about AI and they've helped me. I'm a person with disabilities, um, so is my company, to serve people with unseen disabilities, so I've got to say firsthand, even with the time zone difference, they've been extremely helpful from day one. Um, it's a company that I even have come back to buy additional licenses for, for friends, family and just to support them. So, that's why I wanted to come do a video like this 'cause I don't want to do just words. You know, I could put words into an AI generator to write a review and I don't think that's cool. I just think somebody should just hear from a regular, everyday person who's used the company before and who really believes in the product. Um, Dr. Eric Fishon from Exterminator Kids. I've used them and I would use it too.

Achtung nicht Kaufen……
I’m facing an ongoing issue where the developers seem to adjust the credit requirements arbitrarily. I purchased the larger package specifically to have more freedom, and in the beginning it worked well. However, creating a single video with Sora now requires more than 1,000 credits. During events like Black Friday, the credit cost is suddenly lowered again to attract users, which feels misleading and untrustworthy.
On top of that, many features often fail to work properly. Instead of clear explanations, I only receive vague or unexplained error messages. This is frustrating, time-consuming, and seriously damages my trust in the platform.

For clarity, Sora was only recently released by OpenAI and did not exist during your initial purchase. Since it’s an advanced model, it naturally consumes more credits.
And the credit costs have remained the same before and during Black Friday. We did not lower prices temporarily, nor would it make sense for us to redirect our engineering team to build...

Worst company ever .. don´t do it !
I had a lifetime subscription with Qolaba in August and September. I was really impressed with the company. Then, to cut a long story short, various services were never fulfilled as promised: support, Discord, all those promises, this marketing talk, everything Qolaba said - never happened. The credits for Veo were massively increased after the contract was signed. Credits that I had purchased in addition arte not available anymore. Qolaba is really a totally bad company. Before canceling the contract, in addition to my Lifetime Deal, I bought 100 euros worth of credits, but I can no longer use it. It's completely limited. Really. Don't do it. Minus 5 stars !

I purchased Qolaba with high hopes for an effective tool to enhance my workflow, but unfortunately, it has been one of the worst deals I've encountered on AppSumo. From the beginning, the platform has struggled to deliver on its key functions, particularly in video and image generation.
What makes the situation worse is Qolaba's recent decision to impose a limit of 12 videos per month, significantly devaluing the product. Users should have the freedom to decide how to use their credits, especially in a lifetime deal. There are other deals that explicitly state limitations on videos or images upfront, but this was not mentioned in Qolaba's offer. Now, after the 60-day refund window has closed, they are imposing this restriction.
This bait-and-switch tactic undermines the trust and credibility that AppSumo has worked hard to establish with its community. What was promised as a valuable, enduring product has turned into a diminished and disappointing experience.
