“All Future Models” Were Promised — Now New Models Use Separate Premium Credits
Qolaba has made a significant change to how newer models are accessed, and I think LTD buyers should be aware of it.
When this deal was being sold, Qolaba’s Founder Team made several very clear statements on AppSumo about what Lifetime Deal purchasers would receive.
On June 8, 2025, they stated:
“All future features and model updates will be included for all users, without exception.”
On June 27, 2025, they stated:
“Yes, all future models will be included for users who purchase this deal.”
Then on July 19, 2025, they also said:
“We don’t believe in feature paywalls that lock LTD users out of core updates.”
Those statements were important because they gave buyers a clear expectation that future models added to Qolaba would continue to be available under the Lifetime Deal.
Qolaba has now introduced a separate Premium Credits system.
My account currently shows two different balances:
Plan Credits and Premium Credits
There is also now a separate Buy Premium Credits option.
More importantly, some newer models are being placed into this Premium category. For example, in the current model selector, Gemini 3.7 Flash is available through the normal system, while the newer Gemini 3.8 Flash is marked with the Premium designation.
That is difficult to reconcile with the earlier statement that “all future models will be included for users who purchase this deal.”
I completely understand that AI models cost money to operate and that companies sometimes have to adjust their business models. However, that is different from what was communicated when this Lifetime Deal was sold.
If the original terms had said:
“Some future models may require separately purchased Premium Credits,”
then buyers could have taken that limitation into account before purchasing.
Instead, buyers were explicitly told:
“All future models will be included.”
I also find the July statement particularly important because Qolaba specifically said they did not believe in feature paywalls that lock LTD users out of core updates.
I have kept screenshots of these Founder Team statements as well as screenshots showing the new Premium Credits system.
I’m sharing this update so existing and potential customers can see the difference between what was originally communicated and how newer models are being handled today.
I hope Qolaba reconsiders this approach and honors the expectations created by its original Lifetime Deal statements.
