May 15, 2024A: The only problem is that you need a Chrome-based browser to download the files. I'll explain why. QRClip is not like Wetransfer for example, it encrypts the data in the browser before sending it to the server. When sending, there is no problem as the file can be read in chunks in any browser. However, when downloading, things are different. In the browsers that do not support the File System Access API, I have to have the entire file in memory before I can save it. With Chrome (and all Chrome-based browsers like Edge, Vivaldi, Brave), I can use the File System Access API to save the file in parts. This is the reason for the limit. We are trying to find a way that works in all browsers, but so far there is none.
Let me see what is possible, we are constantly optimizing and trying to make it faster. Just send us an email or subscribe to Tweeter, as soon as I increase the limits I will let you know. You have to do this because we do not send emails to our users :) and this is the only way.

1. The limits for the premium account are these (25 files, 1Gb file limit ), what exactly do you find the limiting factor ? ... maybe we can tweak them.
2. with two phones you have two options: You can generate a QR code and scan with the other, which may be the best option.
Or you can generate a receiver and send from the other phone. But the first option is probably better, the last one makes sense only if your phone's camera does not work for some reason.
3. well, it does not need to install anything or even have an account. It is a web application, (installable has PWA if you want). Just go to qrclip.io and you can do anything.
The application even allows a premium user to give someone a link (shared with a QR Code) so they can send files with the premium account, and the link is only valid once.

I am thinking about transfer of heavy media files, such as video for example.
I see this limit 1GB file limit, which I understand it will be 1GB for each file.
With a max of 25 files per transfer, that will be right now (if i understand correctly) 25GB max in one single transfer.
Up to this point, if my assumptions are correct, I would see benefits in increasing the GB file limit for each file, increasing the existing 1GB per file to higher.
How does that sound? Is there something you can do?
