Q: I want to love the product, but it literally doesn't integrate with anything I use which means it's DOA for me.

The e-Commerce and Analytics solutions are "Coming Soon" but past products on here have used that same language and after 6 months pull those products entirely. I would like to think that won't be the case as some of those are pretty integral to what your platform brands itself as, but what is the projected time on those releasing?
Other popular deals? Moosend? SendFox? I use Infinity now as my CRM too via Zapier it's super flexible and powerful. Some sort of Webook/API to add our own so we don't have to wait for Quokka to develop?

More of a note to AppSumo: Can you work with deal partners to build out integrations for the top previous deals on AppSumo *before* they launch a campaign? There have been so many great products that have come and gone that I don't get because they simply don't integrate with products that have been seen here. Some are quick to build out one or two, but most don't and the integrations just sit in a roadmap and never budge. Too many dollars wasted on over-promising and under-delivering. Quokka feels like yet another one of those products.

Thanks for a great comment!
We thought about it by supporting ex AppSumo stars and integrated with Lemlist and Mailshake.
We're also working on a pixel that could remove the integrations barrier.

As for the "coming soon" features, it's for real :)
We'll do our best to deliver the beta before this deal ends.

* cool. a useful email tool. let me buy 100 stacks *

** checks for Moosend, or constant contact, mailerlite, ANYTHING clients use outside of Mailchimp... **

Hello, thanks for your comment.
We took Moosend API for the review, will update on the integration decision shortly, please stay in the loop!

That's how I feel about most deals these days it seems. I applaud those that are able to turn around integrations quickly, but at the same time it means they're not committing time to new features too, so I feel as though it would be better for everyone if they came with some AppSumo integrations baked in when they launch here so that way they can work on feedback and suggestions that they collect from the community during their campaign rather than focus on making it a working product for the large majority here. I understand not EVERYONE here uses the same products and snagged the same deals, but generally speaking it's pretty safe that X, Y, and Z platforms are more or less ubiquitous in the LTD community - almost none of which are on Quokka's list. It's not entirely their fault, but it just feels like a waste of time all around. I'll sit on the deal and track updates and if I see integrations I'll snag a code, but I've trusted one too many platforms to follow through on their promises and they haven't.

+1 for moosesend & also mailvio

I'm still confused about the overall lack of email integrations. Is there a reason that Quokka, as an email SaaS platform, does NOT integrate with the majority of email newsletter providers?

Read an article about the 10 largest email newsletter providers. Out of those 10 (on this list, at least), only 2 are on your list.

Is there a reason that you don't integrate with most of the big players? Is it an API issue? Cost? I'm honestly curious, as you're missing out on 70% of your potential customer base by having a shockingly low number of email integrations.

If your product wasn't email based, I'd understand. But this is akin to a social media platform only integrating with Twitter, but skipping over Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Tik Tok, LinkedIn.....

Hey,
Thanks for such a great question!

Frankly speaking, we do not build lots of integration, which *potentialy* might give us more customers. Since we're just a startup, it's not about scaling and having as many integrations as possible. It's about listening to our customers and make whatever we can to help them to reach their users more effectively.

So currently, all the questions within our team sound like:
We can spend 10 hours building this integration
or
We can spend the same amount of hours on building a feature to help our existing customer base
And most of the time, the second option is the priority for us.

Hope it answered your question. But hey, would like to chat more! Probably there's an opportunity we're missing

I honestly understand that, as it's a very real question that needs to be asked when you have so few people working on a project. This is mostly why I fault AppSumo these days. They know what the top deals of all time are on here, and should have a close enough ear to the ground to know what other LTDs were popular in their own right elsewhere. Yet, despite that, they don't appear to be doing enough to bring products and tools to AppSumo that integrate with our current tech stacks. I also understand there isn't "one tech stack fits all" so by no means am I saying you have to integrate with every single one of my components either. It's just that your product in particular really lacks vital integrations for many users here.

What's more is that AppSumo, in my opinion, should really mandate that deal partners build out integrations for the top 3 deals that have been on AppSumo and complement the primary objective of the deal - in your case email marketing - so that way your product is functional and usable for more Sumolings at launch.
While you value your current users, it's important to be reminded as to why you're presently here too.
This community is all about direct integrations as Zapier gets pricey pretty fast so you're going to be missing out on a lot of sales or seeing a lot of refunds of folks who took a gamble on your product and then realize it doesn't aid them in any sort of way.
This is the issue I'm having with CRM.me at the moment. The product is great and has so much to offer, but doesn't integrate with anything I use so it's essentially neutered and DOA. I feel their integrations are even more tragic though.

Thanks for the thoughtful response, Ross. Even though I don't use any of the platforms you currently support, I may still buy a few codes.

I like investing in the people behind the software just as much as the software itself. Even though the lack of email integrations for an email Saas is mind-boggling to me personally, I'm glad it comes at the expense of improving the product for existing customers. So kudos for that.

OK... now can we get Moosend at least? =P

Many thanks for that!
Yes, we're exploring Moosend API possibilities now

I don't see anything about integration with Sendpulse which seems really critical, can we expect to see this become availble in the next months?

Hi, amazing news: Moosend is already in beta!
We're about to launch it next week.

That is awesome! I am in, Moosend and Yannis are incredible glad you decided to partner with them!

Good news guys! Moosend is here, available for everyone.
Thanks for giving us a try in advance :)

Quokka should really focus ONLY on commercial integrations. Integrations with LTDs are a dead end - they won't ever see any more money by doing them. And it won't sustain Quokka down the road. If Quokka focuses on commercial integrations (subscription apps) those users will be interested in subscribing to Quokka.
