Q: Very interesting, this is another appsumo hidden gem :) 1.
I see your great recent addition of url transformations - which reminds me of tyle (for videos) - can I use multiple elements in the url (more text fields, extra image overlay etc)?
If so, is there a limit of elements that can be modified via url? (perhaps url length limitation as well?)
I saw cdn mentioned before...
2. May I suggest you integrate with old appsumo deals as well? (Publitio/Gumlet)
They both support overlays, image transformations etc via url, but not full blown templates like DynaPictures. So using them in tandem - DynaPictures generates from templates + Publitio/Gumlet cdn, makes sense to me.
Speaking of...
3. With or without integration - could it be possible to feed your transformed url straight into gumlet/publition url - so that I use only one DynaPictures credit for generating - and I serve that image via gumlet/publitio cdn limits?
[not sure how this could work, but just asking...]
If above not possible...
4. Some cloud integration (eg. pCloud)? Like, save all my generated urls to a folder (or separate folders per template) on pCloud.
I'll probably buy anyway, but any positive answer above will make it even more attractive for many LTD investors, for sure :)
Thanks
Hello Cos!
Thank you for your questions, and the positive feedback! Please see the answers below.

Yes, you can customize multiple layers at once - texts, images, styling, etc. Right, the limit is the URLs max size. And yes, we will be looking into videos personalization as well :).

Understand, makes sense. I added these two to our list of integrations, but it's difficult to share any dates, as it depends on the popularity of the requests. But we are very bullish on integrations and will try to integrate as much as possible, as our product is typically used in the eco-system with other products.

Yes, very good point, we thought about it - we will implement the "cache" URL parameter soon - so if you don't change it, the new image is not generated and the credits are not consumed. So, for example, you can set cache=1 and serve the dynamic image URL as many times as needed, provided that you URL parameters don't change.

Ah, a swiss cloud from our neighbours! Looks interesting, do you know anyone there? Added it to the list of integrations.

Thanks, appreciate you taking time and writing down the questions. By no means want to urge you, but feel obligated to mention it in this context - we have filed a form by AppSumo for the significant price increase - but not sure how long it will take them to process it.
Best regards
Alex
pcloudis great :D
I agree with pCloud integration - probably the best features/price ratio for cloud storage.
As for the url, could you perhaps reduce its length a bit?
a) If it's a text parameter, do we still need to mention "text" again? If "image" - pretty clear it's about its url.. aso
b) replace the triple characters with smth else, like colon : or semicolon ; or even two of them :: (?) - whatever possible
c) separator - ampersand & (?)
To take your example
https://api.dynapictures.com/links/e26cd0daf7.png?params=text3---text___Hello John!<>image5---imageUrl___https://dynapictures.com/images/banners/cat1.jpeg
It could become smth like
https://api.dynapictures.com/links/e26cd0daf7.png?params=text3::Hello John!&image5::https://dynapictures.com/images/banners/cat1.jpeg
Sorry if not possible, I was just thinking...
Thank you anyway, very cool product, this is indeed a hidden gem.
Hello,

Thank you for your reply, your feedback and suggestions regarding URL parameters. Good idea, this is just an initial version, would love to simplify it, in the next version we could take it even further and have something like this, for your example above:
https://api.dynapictures.com/links/e26cd0daf7.png?text3=Hello
John!&image5=https://dynapictures.com/images/banners/cat1.jpeg
and then if you want to do more customizations, like text color:
https://api.dynapictures.com/links/e26cd0daf7.png?text3::color=#fff
Thank you,
Alex
