Q: Team Rake, Good morning to all!
Thank you for being part of the AppSumo community. I have a use case question that is more community-based.
From my understanding of workspaces and using the Tier 3 plan, I can use three of my workspaces for my individual business. The remaining 17 can be used for other groups that I am part of like fraternities, college groups, work, professional groups etc. For example, I am taking an online course and seven (7) of us are in a group and currently using email to communicate since we all use different messaging channels.
Two questions:
1. Am I the super user for the account? Meaning I can create and remove groups as needed?
2. I understand that this is oriented more towards businesses, but in reference to my study group. When I am done with the class, will I be able to replace it later down the road with another study group? Or, is it permanent?
Lastly, while CNAME would be nice for the business side, it is not a priority compared to having overall control of accounts and workspaces as use case does not require CNAME (nice to have, but not an emergency). I am looking at avoiding buying multiple codes and having separate accounts just to get things done.
Again, thank you and cheers!

May 14, 2024A: On your second question - you're welcome to remove users, add new users - change names of your workspace, change the url of your workspace.
On your first question - you will not be a super user - if you want access to every workspace, you would add yourself as a user (perhaps at the owner role) and we recommend using the same email address for each user account you create when joining the additional workspaces

Mike,
Thank you for responding. Will each group I join count against my allocation of users?
For example:
1 x Semester Study Group
1 x Fraternity Group
1 x Business #1
1 x Business #2
This would mean I used four "user" roles just for myself, not including others that join? Thank you.
And with 17 minutes and a long review time, this might not hit the forums until way after closing time (cue Semisonic).
Cheers.

It sounds like you're thinks of GROUPS as what we call CHANNELS - these are unlimited and they can have and there is no user count limit specific to channels. Hope this helps
