There is very little to say about this software other than a complete waste of time, money and very insecure.
1. The system goes offline at least once a day, messages lag or they do not send at all. 2. When you want to send a photo, you have to load the photo from your gallery onto the platform and then go and select it to be sent. You cannot add more photos unless you crash the app and then reopen it and follow the same steps. Have logged several support tickets and no resolution. 3. When you try and deactivate a user, you are unable to as there is a bug with the software for the past 3 months and no fix. 4. Several features do not work. If you add a new person to the platform and then want to assign them to a channel, you cannot do so from the intended "channel" option. You have to go into the conversations and go add it that way. Also 3 months a no fix. 5. When you log a support ticket, don't expect support. You will get an email with a whole lot of stories and other factors being blamed. No solution, no accountability.
Bottom line....very unreliable and no prospect of getting better. 0 tacos :-(

I was looking for a Slack alternative for a while and also looking for ways to 'pin' frequently asked for links from my students. Rake is a great alternative. I am able to bookmark 5 or 6 links on my workspace that students in my channel can access. I also love that unlike the free Slack version, all my conversations are saved. Another bonus is that I am able to interact with prospects on my website. I have been able to book 2 meetings through this function already. Once they add a Windows app, it will be even better. In the meantime, their iphone app works great. Highly recommend if you need a tool that has channels and chat.

Rake is a powerful centralized messaging platform. It is a combination of Live Chat and Internal Messaging apps like Slack. The platform helps you communicate with customers and your team in a convenient way. The features such as Internal messaging and Direct Messaging helps teams to collaborate, share files and documents, make decisions, get answers, and generally get more work done quickly. We use Rake for quick service and support of the company's customers. The platform allows you to control the chats of other colleagues. There is a function to view the history of correspondence with the user. The user interface is intuitive and user-friendly. You have access to all of your chats, can find past chats easily and following customer inquiries is easy. It also includes Knowledge Base features to keep track of key information. This product is an absolute game changer for our business model. With more and more clients wanting on demand service, this helps fill a gap we previously were not sure how to fill. Rake has allowed our team to effectively provide real time customer service to clients during a difficult time when all things have become digital or online. With the inability to meet with clients in person due to the worldwide pandemic this software has been a game changer. It's really really great for small businesses in particular! It adds a layer of class to the site when you have the ability to talk to customers in real time. I love that you can easily give it to someone in the office to manage and the customer can get a return in a timely manner.Overall, Rake is a really solid product with a great team behind it. I'm a little bit puzzled why this product isn't getting the attention it should on AppSumo, based on the very low number of reviews here.
And I remember taking a pass on it the first time I saw it here sometime back because it was billed as an alternative to slack and internal team communications tool... which we've decided to go with Google Chat long ago after giving slack a try. We have no need to change. Perhaps those who prefer Slack decide not a reason to change as well.
However, this isn't really that. The main reason for change would be to use it to communicate with customers. We've set this up as omni channel support where customer's message on web live chat, Facebook messenger and SMS come in here. And this can be handled by a team member. As we use the app first and foremost for external communications with customers, we can see how we would eventually move internal team communications here too. This is not possible with Slack or Google chat. This is so amazing and I don't think it's being highlighted clearly here.
A small caveat is we haven't used the tool extensively and there seems to be small bugs here and there; looks like some messages are missing at times. But with amount of engineering they're able to put forth as shown in the product, I have no reason to doubt that they will be able to iron all these out.
So I want to put out quickly some good words for the Rake team. It's a great product. In fact, it's an amazing product! Give it a try if you want a single place to communicate with your customers (web chat, messenger, sms) as well as internal team communications at a single place.
I cannot believe that the rest of Appsumo hasn't picked up on this product. As it stands, it is the best-kept secret on Appsumo.
Coming from an SAP background, I can really appreciate the skill in the design and integration of RAKE. The attention to detail is phenomenal. It has been built from the ground up to satisfy Agency requirements, and it does this seamlessly and with aplomb.
The sequencing of development and the layout of the roadmap has been done with intelligence and care, with the result that the product is extremely robust and will scale effortlessly.
As you may guess, I really like this product. Sumolings who sit idly by will regret not getting a piece of the action. Get out there and support it.

An amazing product for chat support
