An amazing product for chat support
I'm a little bit puzzled why this product isn't getting the attention it should on AppSumo, based on the very low number of reviews here.
And I remember taking a pass on it the first time I saw it here sometime back because it was billed as an alternative to slack and internal team communications tool... which we've decided to go with Google Chat long ago after giving slack a try. We have no need to change. Perhaps those who prefer Slack decide not a reason to change as well.
However, this isn't really that. The main reason for change would be to use it to communicate with customers. We've set this up as omni channel support where customer's message on web live chat, Facebook messenger and SMS come in here. And this can be handled by a team member. As we use the app first and foremost for external communications with customers, we can see how we would eventually move internal team communications here too. This is not possible with Slack or Google chat. This is so amazing and I don't think it's being highlighted clearly here.
A small caveat is we haven't used the tool extensively and there seems to be small bugs here and there; looks like some messages are missing at times. But with amount of engineering they're able to put forth as shown in the product, I have no reason to doubt that they will be able to iron all these out.
So I want to put out quickly some good words for the Rake team. It's a great product. In fact, it's an amazing product! Give it a try if you want a single place to communicate with your customers (web chat, messenger, sms) as well as internal team communications at a single place.
