ok, so tier 3 is $249 if you buy it on it own and if you already have tier 2 ($99) and want to upgrade? It looks like I'm paying more than if I bought tier 3 alone.

For example, had I bought tier 3 it would be $249. But now because I upgrading from tier 2 I'll have to pay $99 (tier 2 already paid) + $249 (teir 3) = $348. And I still only have the same tier 3 features as the people that bought it by itself.
Am I understanding this correctly?

No, that is not correct. You should only be paying the difference if you are upgrading from tier 2 to 3 (~$149). If that is not what you are seeing when you are attempting to upgrade, please reach out to AppSumo support. However, keep in mind that an upgrade is not the same as stacking the tiers (i.e. buying tier 3 and adding those contacts on top of what you currently have on tier 2) - we are not allowing stacking tiers together. You can either upgrade and pay the remaining difference in the tiers or purchase multiple tiers and activate them as separate rasa.io acccounts. Hope that helps clarify!
