This is good, but with nuances

Undoubtedly, an important advantage of Rayo is that it does exactly what you assign it to do and does not require additional clarifications or settings, unlike its “relatives,” which generally also manage to create good content, but with one nuance: they deviate from the main idea, filling gaps with data that, although related, are still not relevant to the topic. Rayo does exactly what you ask it to do, and precisely on the given topic. This is essentially the main positive experience of working with Rayo, which earned the service four tacos from me, undoubtedly. And then come the nuances of Rayo.

As with other tools, Rayo still requires control and verification. The biggest problem I encountered was adding verified quotes with links to the appropriate sections of the text. Unfortunately, most quotes were automatically fabricated and linked to 404 pages. Fixing this also required careful work with sources. Adding certain articles (URL/PDF) specifically for quotes from them in a dedicated section during publication creation would be a nice addition.

It would also be desirable to have the option to receive a warning about how much the task will cost the service (at least approximately) and the ability to regulate these expenses — to limit or increase the number of sources, processing, or even the text size, while seeing how this affects the costs (again, at least approximately). And pressing the same element again, if it re-initiates expenses for analysis, should preferably trigger a warning like “Do you really want to restart the process?” (with an indication of the approximate costs).

Ignoring / Focusing on certain resources (certain domain zones / a particular language) would also generally be an additional good factor.

I understand that this was not part of the main idea, but this would allow better planning and spending budgets, as understanding where and what is going will form the basis for calculations and credit allocation. Improving transparency will also enhance the overall impression of the service; I am confident of that.

Thank you for the thoughtful and detailed review — we really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

We’re glad to hear that Rayo staying focused on the assigned topic has been helpful, as that’s something we’ve intentionally designed the system to prioritize. Your feedback about quotes, source verification, and better transparency around credit usage is very valuable, and these are areas we’re actively improving.

Suggestions like source controls, cost estimates, and stronger citation handling are great insights and will definitely help guide future updates. Thanks again for helping us make Rayo better 🚀
