The plugin is still fully functional and compatible with current WordPress versions, which is why it has not required maintenance updates. At the same time, I consciously decided not to continue active development.

With the rapid progress of AI-assisted tools, the way small UI features are implemented is changing. For elements like reading indicators, modern AI-driven workflows make it more efficient to generate lightweight, site-specific solutions rather than evolve a standalone plugin indefinitely.

Because of that, I don’t see long-term value in extending this plugin further, even though it remains stable and usable in its current form.
