Q: Hi Greg, I tested your app a bit and it all looks really usable.

We use iOS devices for our conferences due to the high 4K resolution. We record these and do not stream live.

Therefore, two challenges arise for us.

1) Is there a way to record/save the recordings in 4K or higher in the future (depending on the iPhone generation)?

2) Is there a possibility that all video sources (independent of each other) are recorded simultaneously? Or always one active cam? If necessary, we'll cut something again at the end postproduction. Therefore we need all recordings from all cameras over the entire interview time.

Thanks,
Stefanie

A: Hello Stefanie,

First of all, thank you very much for your words of appreciation!
- Currently, RECnGO is compatible with 1080P, which corresponds to the FULL HD standard. In the upcoming future, we will also provide support for 4K resolution.
- When using RECnGO, you can easily record your video content by simply choosing the "streaming disabled" mode. This enables you to capture your entire video production, including footage from all external cameras used. After the production is complete, RECnGO will provide you with all the video files. These files will be saved on the internal storage of the connected devices you used during the recording process.

Best Regards,
Greg

Hi Greg,

thanks for your fast response. Sounds good. The 4K Resolution ist an absolute game changer. Did this mean that ProRes-Videos are in future available?

ProRes as RAW data is important for our productions for post-coloring.

Is there a timed roadmap when to expect these features?

Hello, can you tell me how many ios devices do you use? Iphone, Ipdas, laptop? Any ecosystem? Source for internet? Max distance betwen devices?

Regards from Perú.

Hi Junior_Fonseca,

Many thanks for asking! With a single license of RECnGO, you can utilize 1 Studio device along with a maximum of 12 external camera sources. These sources can include both Android and iOS devices. However, if you prefer working with a desktop interface, RECnGO is also compatible with Mac computers. It is important to note that all devices need to be connected to the same network, and the distance between the devices is restricted by the network they are connected to.

Best Regards,
Greg

Hi Stefanie,

Regarding your second question:
Indeed, you can view our development plan at this link: https://trello.com/b/N9QxMPoj/recngo-roadmap-app-sumo. However, it just includes the current year and does not take into account all of our future goals and objectives. Although we are unable to provide you a specific date for when 4K recording will be accessible, you won't have to wait very long because it is an incredibly significant matter. I appreciate your patience.

Best Regards,
Greg

Hello Junior_Fonseca,

I have responded to your query above, but I will paste it again here:

I hope I was able to help you!

Hi Junior_Fonseca,

we use currently a 4 cam setup. 3 iPhones, 1 iPad. Max distance ca. 5 meters (simple interview setup) – internet via iPhone hotspot (mostly 5G) – better WLAN.
