Looking to the Future with RelayThat
I was an original purchaser of RelayThat in March of 2018, and just purchased two additional codes on Friday (10/25) because I wanted to expand my usage of the tool.
RelayThat is one of those products that can greatly benefit most practioners in the digital marketing world. I'm more of a marketer and a techie (in that order) than I am a graphic designer. If the learning curve is too steep, the amount of work required is extensive, and I have a strong need for the element, then I usually download the work to a REAL graphic designer. It's fair to say that I often just skip a design, or find a workaround before hiring a graphic professional because of the cost and waiting time involved. I want elements now, and don't want to spend a lot of money to get them.
RelayThat is one of those tools that fits my workflow like a glove. In 15-20 minutes (remember, I am slow), I can have a series of workable designs that fit my needs. I can't say it strongly enough - this tool flat out works for me! It does not take a lot of time to learn, and I can be very productive without needing a 4-hour course to learn it.
There seem to be a number of discussions about features not available, or not working for a particular person. That's fine, we all have our needs and wants when it comes to design tools. I don't get involved in those discussions because they apply mostly to purists (in the best sense of the word). I just need to get my small graphics projects done (yesteday, if possible) with a professional look, and RelayThat gets a 10/10 for that requirement.
When I purchase new items on AppSumo, I'm looking for forward-looking tools that are building for the future. RelayThat is definitely in the up-and-comer category, so I want to ensure that I hitch my wagon to it.
One of the qualities that I seek in AppSumo products is the product team's ability to communicate with me articulately when I need help. As luck would have it, I needed some assistance when I upgraded with my additional two codes, and, of course, it was 4:22 am Saturday morning when I discovered the need for assistance. I placed my support request then, hoping to be first in line Monday morning for an answer. But no, Craig had my issue sorted out on Saturday, and emailed the result so that I could have full use of the tool on Saturday. The point to this is, Craig wants to stay on top of support issues, and is willing to invest his weekends to make things right as quickly as possible. That is future-looking support, and I appreciate Craig's efforts very much.
Bottom line, RelayThat is the kind of product and company I want for the future. Both the product and the company are moving forward, adding new features, improving the product, and providing great support. This is the type of product and company I seek at AppSumo - look forward to a long relationship with RelayThat.
