I honestly was not expecting to buy Remio, but I came across it yesterday, decided it was worth a try, and I’m very glad I did. I’ve been genuinely surprised by how good it is.

For the last few years, I’ve been trying to build a proper second brain using just about every tool you can think of, from Notion to Apple Notes to countless other note-taking apps. Most of them do some things well, but none of them have really felt like the complete answer. Remio looks like it could be.

What has impressed me most is the way it collects information while I browse, along with the context it keeps around that information. That part has genuinely blown me away. It feels far more useful and intelligent than I expected, and it has made a very strong first impression.

The one thing holding it back right now is device synchronization. If I could sync information across my iPhone, iPad, laptop, and work laptop (yes, 4 devices!), this could be an absolute game-changer. Even if local information stayed local, having a shared central space where selected notes or knowledge could sync across devices would be incredible. That would take this from excellent to "I can't live without this app" territory.

As it stands, this is still an easy five-taco review from me. I’m seriously impressed. But if the iOS app could access desktop information and synced knowledge across devices, it would be worth ten tacos.
