Remio has a very interesting take on creating an AI knowledge base. It is easy to set up and a no-brainer for the price. The integration of webpage highlighting and podcast functionality is commendable, and it is worth it only for this.
A few things I would like to see:
- The "Ask remio" feature could be enhanced to allow referenced documents (@[title]{#itemid}) to open in a separate pane (e.g., the left side) while the chat interface remains open on the other side (e.g., the right), rather than replacing the chat.
- Simplification of the use of new local models such as Gemma 4.
- MCP integration with Gmail/Outlook could enable remio to pre-draft email responses that synchronise directly with these services.
- The prompts library could be improved to dynamically assist users in refining their prompts, moving beyond a static collection.

Great news on your suggestions:
1. Split-pane for "Ask Remio": This is already addressed in our upcoming Agent version! Referenced documents will open alongside the chat without replacing it.
2. Simplified local model integration: You can already connect models like Gemma 4 via our Custom Provider option. We hear you though, we'll be improving the onboarding flow to make this much more intuitive.
3. Gmail/Outlook integration: It's one of our most-requested features, and we're excited to share that the Agent version will include the ability to draft and send email replies directly. 🎉
4. Dynamic prompt library: noted! We'll be evaluating this further and exploring how to make the prompt experience more interactive.
