Q: How do you determine catch all?
Very high number of results are going to saying catch all, over 50%, that seems incredibly high.

May 15, 2024A: Thanks for the query. First of all, let us try to make it clear what is catch-all emails. The catch-all emails are not invalid emails. In fact, they are closer to valid/safe emails. The catch-all depends on the domain/server. Catch-all means the domain/server is configured to receive email even if the email address doesn't exist. So, in an email server is catch-all, any email address from that server will be catch-all. In your case, most probably you are verifying more emails from catch-all domains.
Let us give you an example: Let's say the email server of reoon.com has a catch-all configuration (by the way, our server is not catch-all and this is just an example). One of the valid emails is support@reoon.com. Now let's make up an invalid email like af5dg4a5fasf466asd@reoon.com. In catch-all server, if you send email to that invalid address, it still won't bounce and will internally redirect to a default email address. For example, it can be internally redirected to admin@reoon.com and a person responsible for that address can check every invalid email sent to their domain if that person wants.
If you trust your email list (i.e. your subscribers), you can definitely continue sending emails to the catch-all addresses. However, you should be careful if that is a purchased/scraped email list. We hope this answers some of your questions. Let us know if you have any other questions. Have a great day.
